Is Purdue Student Health Center free? ›

Provider visits for illness or injury are free for full time currently enrolled Purdue students on the West Lafayette campus. There are fees for diagnostic testing, medications, immunizations, allergy shots and all other services.

PUSH is in network for most United Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. We will also bill any insurance you present. It is always best to call your insurance company prior to your visit to verify your coverage and benefits.

PUSH is a scheduled care facility. Walk-in appointment availability is extremely limited. To ensure that you receive the care you need, we recommend scheduling an appointment through your Patient Portal, or by calling 765-494-1700.

Student Memberships are free!

You must be enrolled in classes in order to have access to the Hammond and Westville Fitness Center. You must provide your PNW student ID at the check-in desk!

All of CAPS services, except for psychiatric services, are free to student including brief phone screens, crisis consultations, initial consultations, group therapy, individual and couples therapy sessions, and care management services.

All registered full-time students as well as degree-seeking co-op students are eligible to enroll in Purdue's student insurance. Domestic students are not required to take the student insurance, but you are expected to have coverage outside of Purdue. Online only students are not eligible for student insurance.

Emergency medical service, including transport to local hospitals, is provided to the Purdue community free of charge.

Seventy-five percent of Indiana resident applicants were offered admission to Purdue's flagship West Lafayette campus this year, while nearly all others received offers of admission elsewhere within the Purdue system.

Average GPA: 3.74

(Most schools use a weighted GPA out of 4.0, though some report an unweighted GPA. With a GPA of 3.74, Purdue requires you to be above average in your high school class. You'll need a mix of A's and B's, with a leaning toward A's.

How does PUSH work in Purdue? ›

Most PUSH services are by appointment. If you need urgent medical services, you may walk-in during regular and extended hours. You may schedule an appointment with a board certified PUSH provider by calling 765-494-1700, option 0, or through the Patient Portal.

Admission to Purdue is competitive and we'll use the following factors to evaluate your application: High school course expectations. Overall grades in academic coursework. Grades related to intended major.

The Dean's List and Semester Honors recognizes students that have achieved high scholastic standing cumulatively and/or for the semester.

(WLFI) - Purdue President Mitch Daniels sent out his 2022 Open Letter to the people of Purdue. One of the Paragraphs was titled "Where are all the men?" In reference to a fewer number of men enrolling in college. These comments have caused women in engineering both working for the university and alumni to speak out.

This is an important consideration as sustained nonattendance has negative implications both in terms of your learning and overall course performance. Failure to log attendance in a course at the start of the term may result in administrative removal from the course or withdrawal from your program.
