Overall Opinion:

Overall, I like B.tan Mousse.

I really like the color I got from using this mousse. My tan was a deep, brown color. It looked so natural and I got a few compliments on my skin.

It’s pretty easy to apply, and the price is great.

There was one thing that really confused me with this self tanner, however.

The bottle says to leave the self tanner on for at least 4 hours to develop. Now, on the company website, it says it’s a 1 hour tan. Talk about confusing!

I ended up following the instructions on the bottle, and was left with a great tan the next day.

This tanner is pretty dark, so there’s more room for error when applying.

Just make sure to use the color guide to see where you’re applying it, and you should be good to go :)

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

B.tan Mousse comes out with a dark brown guide.

The mousse itself is fluffy and easy to use.

Application

When applying this self tanner, I highly recommend using a tanning mitt. The guide is very dark and will stain your hands if you don’t use a mitt.

You can definitely see where you’re applying the mousse, because the guide is so dark. That’s helpful in making sure all areas are covered.

The product blends in pretty nicely; it didn’t take too long.

When I was done applying, I noticed the tan looked pretty streaky on my skin so I looked very weird. But I’ve noticed a lot of dark mousses look streaky when applied. It’s just something to take note of!

This definitely isn’t one where you can apply it, then hit the town right after. You won’t want to leave the house while it’s still developing.

Drying Time

Once applied all over my body, the tan took about 25-30 minutes to dry.

That’s pretty typical for a self tanning mousse.

I felt a little sticky while I waited for it to dry.

You’ll also need to be careful not to stain your sheets or clothing with this one.

Smell (Before Application)

B.tan Mousse smells really good, but it’s not the lightest smell.

It has a rich, sweet smell. I enjoyed the scent, but thought it was a bit too heavy.

It did a good job covering up the DHA smell, however.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next day I smelled like self tanner, plain and simple.

Thankfully, once I showered, the smell went way.

Color Produced

I’m very happy with the tan this mousse produces, but there are a few things that confuse me.

The bottle I received says to leave the tanner on for at least 4 hours, and then shower it off. But when I looked up the product on the company website, it says it’s a 1 Hour Tan. This really confused me, and I still don’t know if this is a 1 hour tan or not.

I ended up following the directions on the bottle, and left the tan on overnight.

The next morning, I had a dark tan that looked really nice. I was very impressed with the color. It was brown, without looking fake.

And I was happy with how even my tan turned out, although my hands looked a little funky.

Overall, my tan was deep and very natural looking.

Now, I can’t speak as to how it’d look if you only left the tan on for an hour, like the website says to do.

How Long It Lasts

I found this self tanner lasts around 5 days.

By day 5, I was looking pale again but I still had a few patchy areas where the tan was fading.

OK For Men?

Yes, I think men will like B.tan Mousse if they’re looking for a deep tan.

Price

B.tan Mousse sells for $20.00 which is a great price point, even a little less than your average self tanner.
